She went to a funeral of a vicar who had donated money to help children in workhouses but set the Cybermen on them but made the Cybermen Capture the owners of the Work Houses. They led children to a factory by the docks and made them work the mechanics so that the [[Cyberking]] would rise. She killed the Work House owners and the Cyberking decided to make her the Cyberking instead. She was chosen by the [[Cybermen (Pete's World)|Cybermen]] to become the [[CyberKing]]. She used the dreadnought class ship, Cyber King to declare herself the ultimate Cyber ruler.  Her memory was restored by several [[Infostamp]]s used by [[Tenth Doctor|the Doctor]], her body was ripped apart shortly after.
Miss Hartigan was Matron of a sick house, a job she visually showed great distain for. Her motives seemed primarily to raise herself above the weight of Victorian patriarchal oppression.([[DW]]: ''[[The Next Doctor]]'') She seemed to have a strange relationship with men as she acossiated them with violence and sexual desire such as when she remarked on how like men the Cybermen were when they spoke of world domination and called one of the funeral attendees a cheeky boy after saying she saw him looking at her.
