The Eleventh Doctor's brief life start when the the Doctor's previous incarnation unwisely decided to tinker with some wiring. Because women terrified him, he found Emma very intimidating. He regenerated into his his next form only minutes aftewards. (DW: The Curse of Fatal Death)
