According to its director Martin Ashcroft, Doctor Demonic's Tales of Terror was a 1976 "portmanteau film" comprised of several smaller stories. All of the constituent short films were in the horror genre. The Fifth Doctor was technical adviser to the first of these short films, The Devil's Whisper, a film that also starred "Nyssa Traken."
