Alan Moore (born 18th November 1953) was the writer of a number of back-up features for Doctor Who Magazine during the earlier phase of his career. Now regarded as the most acclaimed comic book writer of all time, he profoundly influenced late 1980s Doctor Who era Script Editor Andrew Cartmel, who asked him to submit story ideas to him. Cartmel ended up saying no to his proposals.
