Phineas Clanton was a rancher and gunfighter who, along with his brothers Ike and Billy Clanton, had several conflicts with Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. He and Ike forced Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet to sing for them. They thought that the First Doctor was Doc Holliday.
Phineas and Ike sent Steven to the gaol to smuggle a gun to "Doc Holliday." They riled up the town against Wyatt Earp and took Steven hostage, threatening to hang him. Phineas was knocked out by Wyatt and put in gaol. Ike and Billy broke him out of gaol, killing Warren Earp in the process.
