Benedict was the owner of a pub. When he bought it, he "inherited" the Seventh Doctor as well. Every year on Christmas Eve, the Doctor sneaked into the pub at night and greeted Benedict in the morning. He then spent Christmas day with Benedict's family. After one Christmas in particular, the Doctor never came back again. (PROSE: Last Christmas)
