The PoriPhylum was an alien yeast bacteria that took the form of its enemies as a disguise before eating them. They fed on fluids drawn from the bodies of their captured like blood and water. When they attempted an invasion of Earth, they were drawn to a flood of sugary drinks which reacted with the yeast and turned them into large pastries. (COMIC: Dawn of the Living Bread)
