Ferdand was the father of Malvek and the uncle of Clio.

When Clio turned five, Ferdand poisoned her on behalf of his son, who was ruler of Dolmara. Though he was upset at having done so, he explained to Clio's father that he did it because he had children too. While under restraint by guards, he quickly took poison, killing himself.
