Erik Graul was the industrialist of his factories during the First World War and an ally of the Daleks. Graul met a Dalek who informed him his son Heinrich Graul was dead and it offered revenge to find a way to win the war and avenge his son. Unknown to him, the Daleks were the true murderers of Heinrich. He presented a German Proto-Dalek to his guests. The Eleventh Doctor, Edward Anderson and Hellcombe accidentally arrived to his factory via a Dalek Transmat portal and goes to Graul's office to convince him to stop the Dalek Project. But he refused and activates the robot Daleks as they fled. During the final stage of the Dalek Project, Graul was furious and demanded the production line shut down. but the Dalek exterminated him.
