Canopus IV was the planet where the Spire was located. It was the only source of futurite. It was home to a race of reptilian humanoids who made a meager living from the soil poisoned with futurite. The planet had no plate tectonics. Bernice Summerfield was sent there by God to deal with a potential threat to the People. (PROSE: Ghost Devices)
