Mervyn was a guest at Rhys Williams and Gwen Cooper's wedding. A Nostrovite, disguised as Carrie was flirting with Mervyn. They went to a hotel room to have sex, but he was killed brutally by the Nostrovite. His body was later found by Toshiko Sato and Rhy's best man at the wedding. (TW: Something Borrowed)
