Teresa was a young woman whom Li H'sen Chang followed home one day. He confronted her as she entered a house and hypnotised her into accompanying him to the Palace Theatre. He intended to use a catalytic extraction chamber to distil her life for Magnus Greel. Leela found Teresa in the theatre and, as she was unresponsive, took her clothes and dressed in them, putting Teresa in a wardrobe.
