The Hoothi were fungoid creatures of an unknown origin. Hoothi could exist either as spores or as planet-sized gas-filled spheres that allowed them to travel through space. They lived on decaying organic matter. The Hoothi knew of the Time Lords and of the Doctor, encountering him, Ace and Bernice Summerfield on Heaven. (NA: Love and War)
