The Red Army was the name for the military forces of communist countries on 20th century Earth, such as the Russian Red Army and the Chinese Red Army.

Alternative timeline
In an alternative timeline created by the Elder Gods in the hope of destroying Earth, the militant hardliner Vladimir Kryuchkov became the General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1985. Significant international tensions began following the democratic uprisings in the Eastern Bloc countries. Kryuchkov instructed the protesters to disperse and, when they refused to do so, he sent in Red Army tanks. The protesters were fired on, even the children, resulting in a massacre.
