Slade

Slade were a band. One of their songs, entitled "Merry Xmas Everybody", was playing in a pub visited by the Eighth Doctor. (PROSE: Not in My Back Yard) The song was playing on Mickey Smith's garage's radio when the newly-regenerated Doctor crash-landed on the Powell Estate on Christmas Eve 2006. (TV: The Christmas Invasion) In 2007, the song was playing at Donna Noble's first wedding reception. (TV: The Runaway Bride) It also was heard on the radio in an alternate version of Christmas 2007. (TV: Turn Left) The song was playing as Wilfred Motte and the Nobles opened their Christmas gifts and cards in 2009. (TV: The End of Time (TV story). In a dream, Shona McCullough used this song to distract her mind from thinking about dream crabs while in the infirmary of an Arctic base so she would not awaken them, unaware this was all part of an illusion propagated by dream crabs in the real world. However, the song worked a little too well and she began dancing wildly along to the music. (TV: Last Christmas)
