  • On 19 February 2009, the BBC announced that Lindsay Duncan would play Adelaide in the second of the Doctor Who specials that will be aired in 2009. She has been stated to be playing "the Doctor's most strong-minded companion yet."[1]
  • It has not yet been announced whether Adelaide is intended to be a one-off companion along the lines of Astrid Peth or (initially) Donna Noble.
