The Sentinel was the Doctor Who back-up strip which appeared in the pages of The Incredible Hulk Presents #7. Like all in the series, it was monochromatic and featured the Seventh Doctor travelling alone at the beginning and ending of the story.
Summary
When the Seventh Doctor meets an ancient being named Seneschal who claims to have been responsible for human evolution itself, the Time Lord chastises him for meddling. Predictably, the being gets angry and chases the Doctor away. Too late, the time traveller understands that Seneschal has taken a sample of his DNA, with which he can, given billions of years, create a new race of Time Lords.

Continuity
- Seneschal confirms that the Doctor stole the TARDIS, something which is confirmed in many different places in televised history, but perhaps most prominently TV: The Deadly Assassin, The Invasion of Time, Planet of the Dead, The Big Bang and The Doctor's Wife.
- As in other parts of the The Incredible Hulk Presents run, but particularly Who's That Girl! the Doctor here claims that something is an affront to Gallifreyan law. The tone can be read to suggest that he is the representative of the Time Lords, rather than being on the run from them. On the other hand, it is rather like later incarnations' constant attempts to justify their actions by citing the Shadow Proclamation.
