Like the negative of a photograph, a "ghost" took on the form of Eleanor Gryffen. It was created as a result of Professor Gryffen's constant attempts to rescue his wife and children with the Space-Time Manipulator impacting on the continuum, warping reality into their shapes. These ghostly apparitions invaded the mansion and tormented K9 and the youngsters as they were Gryffen's new family and they needed to be disposed of for the ghosts to move in. They were banished back into the Void where they were trapped forever. (TV: The Fall of the House of Gryffen)
