Doris Squire was the wife of farmer Squire. When her husband discovered a Silurian hiding in his barn, he told her to call the police. When the Silurian attacked him, she saw it and had a nervous breakdown. She was taken to the local hospital, where the Third Doctor questioned her and learned what had happened.
