Published in 1964, The Dalek Book was one of the first spin-off books based upon Doctor Who. Co-written by Daleks creator Terry Nation and series writer David Whitaker, the book contained information on the Daleks, and the Dr. Who and the Daleks film, as well as original stories and comic strips, a Dalek dictionary, and stories featuring Mark Seven and the SSS (characters created for a never-produced Daleks spin-off series. Also included was a photo insert relating to the movie.

Follow-up Dalek Annuals from Souvenir Press Ltd, The Dalek World and The Dalek Outer Space Book, were published in 1965 and 1966.
