Icarus (mythology)

Icarus was a boy in Greek mythology. His father made him waxen wings. When Icarus flew too near to the sun, his wings melted. His father watched as he died. (AUDIO: The Foe from the Future) His death was said to have occurred due to badly applied science. The term icaron was coined from this interpretation.
