The Federation System, also known as the Federation of Three Worlds, (PROSE: Snakedance) was an all-powerful government ruled by a Federator. Existing for at least five hundred years, it contained the Federation Homeworld and Manussa, located in the Scrampus System. It may have been that "Scrampus" was synonymous with "Federation System."
A Federator discovered Manussa in its year 2626 during the Sumaran Empire, removing the Great Crystal and banishing the Mara to the Dark Places of the Inside. Five hundred years later Manussa was the third planet in the Federation System and was a colony world, its economy based on subsistence agriculture and tourism. The current Federator's family would visit to celebrate the banishment of the Mara every ten years. (TV: Snakedance)
