Auvers-sur-Oise
"Auvers-sur-Oise" is a title based upon conjecture.

Check the behind the scenes section, the revision history and discussion page for additional comments on this article's title.

Auvers-sur-Oise was a town in France where Vincent van Gogh lived. (TV: Vincent and the Doctor)

Behind the scenes

The name of van Gogh's town was in fact never established in the episode, but may be assumed by the name of the painting which is central to that story. Even though it, too, was unnamed by the episode, the painting is sufficiently iconic that its name needn't have been explicitly stated in the episode for it to be recognised by its real name, The Church at Auvers.
