A faction of Mondasians are believed to have left Mondas, whilst it was drifting out of the solar system, to settle on Planet Fourteen and pursue their goal of total Cyber-conversion (Doctor Who: Cybermen). *One account of the Cybermen's creation shows the Voord of the planet Marinus using stolen time technology to "quick-evolve" themselves into the earliest Cybermen (DWM: The World Shapers). If these "earliest Cybermen" are the Cybermen of planet 14, then Marinus may be an alias for Planet Fourteen.

Doctor Who: Cybermen, a book written by David Banks suggests that Planet 14 is located within the Sol System and that a subspecies of early Cybermen from Mondas migrated to Planet 14 following a divergence from the 'Mondasian' Cybermen, eventually evolving into The Invasion-era Cybermen. However this has not been accepted within the wider continuity as Canon
