Chao is a planet in the Andromeda Galaxy. The planet had forests in which the first part of a device required by the Cult of Shining Darkness was hidden. The Cult visited the planet before their encounter with the Doctor and Donna in orbit of the planet Uhlala. (TDA: Shining Darkness).
