The Twelfth Doctor used apology cue cards to get himself out of tight situations. These cue cards were more than likely written by Clara Oswald. (TV: Under the Lake)

  • The Aberdeen cue card is a reference to TV: School Reunion, in which Sarah Jane Smith was revealed to have mistakenly been dropped off there (instead of in Croydon) by the Fourth Doctor.
