The 'Time Anomaly Relocation DIStributor' is a feature of the TARDIS that takes effect when a potentially dangerous time anomaly is detected. By default it moves the TARDIS forward "an hour or two" (according to the Doctor). In this sense it serves the same purpose temporally as the HADS does spatially.
This failsafe took effect in the story Aquitaine when the TARDIS was sent back in time by an ergostorm.
The name 'Time Anomaly Relocation DIStributor' is a bit of a mouthful, but unfortunately it can't be shortened to its obvious acronym, 'TARDIS', as that would be apt to cause confusion.
