The Doctor's rules

The Doctor's rules were a series of guidelines created by the Doctor for his companions. As Jackson Lake, when he believed himself the Doctor, told his companion, Rosita:

The Second Doctor's rules

• 001: Don't go wandering off. Stay with me. (TV: The Two Doctors)

The Fourth Doctor's rules

• 001: Do exactly what I say. (TV: The Ribos Operation)
• 002: Stick close to me. (TV: The Ribos Operation)
• 003: Let me do all the talking. (TV: The Ribos Operation)

The Seventh Doctor's rules

• 001: I'm in charge. (TV: Dragonfire)
• 002: I'm not the professor, I'm the Doctor. (TV: Dragonfire)

The Ninth Doctor's rules

• 001: Don't wander off. (TV: The Empty Child)

The Tenth Doctor's rules

• 010: Don't eat anything until you're sure it's totally safe. Unless it's a badly cooked kronkburger - in which case don't eat at all. (PROSE: The Price of Paradise)
• 408: Time is not the boss of you. (TV: The Waters of Mars)
