Mr Brooke was Adelaide Brooke's father. He hid his daughter in the attic during the Dalek invasion of Earth in 2009 and went out to search for his wife, but neither of them ever came back. Adelaide reflected on this to the Tenth Doctor at Bowie Base One in 2059. (TV: The Waters of Mars)
