Hemp was a native of the planet Schyllus in an alternate timeline. In 4387, Monica Lamprey accelerated time for the inhabitants so they were invisible to those existing in normal time. He used their species ability of personality transference to channel through his daughter Kina so as to communicate with the Sixth Doctor and Melanie Baal. (PROSE: Spiral Scratch)
