Charlie?

How is Charlie shooting at the Shadow Kin without dying? Did the gun have stun setting or something? Tevik 18:43, October 23, 2016 (UTC)

I don't know exactly how that works, but I think it works more than one way. Remember, Quill said the gun was set to shoot both ways, which may mean that it can be set to more than that. Also look at the rays of energy, set to both ways it shot red rays, set to one way it shot blue rays. Remember too that it also worked as a scanner. --DCLM 20:52, October 23, 2016 (UTC)
Actually, when Miss Quill examines the gun after the flashback to the death of that student, it kind of looks like she's changing the setting back. The scanner's the same device? They looked completely separate to me.

It looks like there's only one, so it must have two shooting settings. Think about it. When the Shadow Kin horde arrives, Quill pulls out the gun, and Charlie takes it from her. And there's only ever seen one gun at a time. So they must be the same, confirming my two settings-theory.
Yes, I think the scanner is the same as the gun. Ask yourself, why did Miss Quill look at it as if she was changing it to scanning mode, and where did the gun go? --DCLM 21:33, October 23, 2016 (UTC)
I guess that would explain why she talked about the gun when April asked "what is that" right after being scanned. But it still, visually, to me, looks like a totally separate device.
