The Squaleen locusts were an alien species, that were very small, almost microscopic.
They had a huge appetite, liked the taste of furniture studding and reproduced every fifteen minutes.
Once Sarah Jane Smith unwillingly carried a plague of Squaleen locusts home with her after visiting a Prastaki trading ship from the Thunderhead Spiral Galaxy. After Sarah Jane had dealt with the Squaleen locusts she had to completely refurnish the house. (PROSE: Day of the Clown)
