In 1995, a number of things set in or relevant to the Doctor Who universe were released or published.

• HOMEVID: The Devil of Winterborne was released by BBV Productions.

• 19 January - Warlock was first published.
• 19 January - The Romance of Crime was first published.
• February - REF: The Doctors: 30 Years of Time Travel was first published.
• 16 February - Set Piece was first published.
• 16 February - The Ghosts of N-Space was first published.
• 16 March - Infinite Requiem was first published.
• 16 March - Time of Your Life was first published.
• April - Jon Pertwee reprised the role of the Third Doctor for the final time, filming scenes for the unofficial fan film Devious.
• 20 April - Sanctuary was first published.
• 20 April - Dancing the Code was first published.
• 18 May - Human Nature was first published.
• 18 May - The Menagerie was first published.
• 18 May - REF: The Discontinuity Guide was first published.
• 15 June - Original Sin was first published.
• 15 June - System Shock was first published.
• 20 July - Sky Pirates! was fist published.
• 20 July - The Sorcerer's Apprentice was first published.
• 20 July - Decalog 2: Lost Property was first published.
• 20 July - Virgin Publishing released a paperback edition of REF: Doctor Who: A Celebration by Peter Haining, 12 years after the hardcover was first issued.
• 27 July - The 1996 edition of the Doctor Who Yearbook was published by Marvel Comics (unlike previous editions, the title bore no date). This was the fifth and final Yearbook to be published by Marvel. The Annual concept was revived again a decade later.
• 17 August - Zamper was first published.
• 17 August - Invasion of the Cat-People was first published.
• 17 August- Virgin Publishing issued a new paperback edition of REF: Doctor Who: The Time-Travellers' Guide.
• 17 August- REF: Doctor Who: The Seventies was published in paperback.
• 2 September - Downtime was first released by Reeltime Pictures.
• 21 September - Toy Soldiers was first published.
• 21 September - Managra was first published.
• 16 October - REF: Doctor Who: Companions was first published.
• 19 October - Head Games was first published, featuring the return of Mel.
• 19 October - Millennial Rites was first published.
• 16 November - The Also People was first published.
• 16 November - The Empire of Glass was first published.
• 16 November - REF: Blacklight was first published.
• 26 November - "Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming", an episode of the American animated series The Simpsons, was broadcast in the United States. This episode featured an animated caricature of Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor and was the first of several on-screen references to Doctor Who the series made over the next decade.
• 7 December - Shakedown was first published.
• 7 December - Lords of the Storm was first published.
• 7 December - REF: Doctor Who - The Handbook: The Fifth Doctor was first published.
• Unknown - A "Special Edition" of The Five Doctors was released by BBC Video, featuring updated special effects, reordered scenes, new musical scoring, and other new footage. The Special Edition was heavily criticised by some fans, as well as by John Nathan-Turner in Doctor Who Magazine.
