"Asylum" is an original BBC Radio 4 audio play due to be aired in July. This is part of three episode to be played on the radio 4 slot Afternoon play.
Summary
When PC Andy arrests a teenager for shoplifting, he thinks it is going to be a routine case. Then he sees the weapon she is carrying and decides to call in the Torchwood team. Under questioning from Gwen, the girl remembers her name but little else, and when she speaks it is in a strange mix of English and Scandinavian, but with a Cardiff accent. Then the girl's blood tests come through and the team is faced with a dilemma.
Plot
A girl is found in a river by a man walking is dog. The dog and the man pull the girl out but she runs off.

Continuity
- Gwen references the year being 2009, and as Toshiko and Owen don't appear, it's set after Exit Wounds, and probably after Journey's End, and before The Children of Earth.
- Solar Flares are mentioned as in The Parting of the Ways
