Alice Carter (née Melissa Moretti, previously Sangster) was the daughter of Jack Harkness and Lucia Moretti, a former Italian Torchwood Three operative, and thus also Gray's niece. She lived with her son, Jack's grandson, Steven, who like every child in the world was briefly taken over by the 456. In 1977, Alice was put into cover by her mother, Lucia, who died in 2006 of natural causes. In hiding, Alice's parents were recorded as James and Mary Sangster, however the government knew they did not exist.
Story
Following the first sign of the return of the 456, she is visited by her father, who wants to do some tests on Steven. She denies Jack the opportunity, as she sees the potential harm that could befall her son should he associate himself too much with him. The conversation also reveals she leads Steven to believe Jack is his uncle, until he become old enough to realise he doesn't age and is in fact his grandfather.
Agent Johnson (Children of Earth) and her men took Alice and Steven into custody to use against Jack.
