The Big Fat Quiz of the Year was a game show. The 2013 edition and The Big Fat Anniversary Quiz are both significant to Doctor Who.
It is relevant to Doctor Who in a number of ways, including a small skit with Jimmy Carr and Nicholas Briggs as a bronze Dalek in the 2015 version.

- A clip of a blue Dalek cake being presented on a 2013 episode of The Great British Bake Off is shown.
- The scene were the Eleventh Doctor and the Tenth Doctor compare Sonic screwdrivers from The Day of the Doctor is shown.
- Peter Capaldi being announced as the Twelfth Doctor is talked about.
2015
- A Dalek appears in a live skit with Jimmy Carr. The dalek is voiced by Nicholas Briggs.
