Galacton was the third planet in a star system with a red sun. The densely forested planet attracted the attention of the rapacious Daleks before the Last Great Time War. They drilled into the planet's core to release molten rock. This was energised by the Dalek Attack Squad Leader trapped in one of the bore holes as an energy source for the Dalek Seventh Fleet. The planet was ripped apart. Red-eyed creatures, seemingly composed of the very ground itself, offered formidable resistance to the Daleks on the planet, at one point forcing an evacuation.
