A nosebleed was the occurrence of bleeding from the nose, considered something minor by Izzy Sinclair. Izzy got a nosebleed when she and the Eighth Doctor arrived on Jora, as the Syntax was beginning to affect her. (PROSE: Syntax)
According to Rupesh Patanjali, Chow Lee Jee came into St Helen's Hospital with a nosebleed that wouldn't stop, and he was afterwards diagnosed with a brain haemorrhage. In reality, it was Rupesh himself who killed the man, in an effort to attract Jack Harkness' attention. (TV: Children of Earth: Day One)
