Abby worked aboard Chasm Forge. Her smartsuit was off network, repairing the conveyors, when the remaining suits received a command to deactivate their living components. She was therefore one of the four survivors present when the Twelfth Doctor arrived aboard the station.
Abby initially struggled to trust the Doctor. She was unable to think past her basic need for oxygen, and quipped a series of blunt and sarcastic putdowns. Following the death of Tasker, she took over the commanding role.
Using the TARDIS, the Doctor returned both Abby and Ivan to Head Office so that they could make their complaints. She promised him that she would be loud. (TV: Oxygen)
