Running to Stay Still was the seventh story printed in the second year of Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor.
Summary
The attacks on the TARDIS reach fever pitch. The Doctor's only hope for survival is to track down the mysterious "Cabal" who have been haunting his steps. Were they active in the Time War? Do they still exist? Meanwhile, Alice is forced to make a decision that could wipe her from the timeline forever!

- Although Doctor Who: The Eleventh Doctor had been confirmed to be set between Series 5 and Series 6,[1] when Alice is shown observing portraits of past companions, one of them is of Clara Oswald, who would not travel with the Doctor until The Bells of Saint John in the second half of Series 7.
