In 2017, a student was among those lectured by the Twelfth Doctor about the vacuum of space, and the effects that exposure would have on the human body. She questioned as to what this had to do with crop rotation. (TV: Oxygen)
Behind the scenes
The student who questions the Doctor is played by Lauren Pate, who is one of the programme's assistant directors.
Pate was quoted as saying, "I've been so incredibly lucky to work behind the scenes on Doctor Who these 10 months, and to be able to be in front of the camera was ridiculously exciting... and totally nerve wracking! I'm not sure if I was in that lecture hall that I would be questioning the Doctor on anything!"
