Sam Gold was one of Iris Wildthyme's husbands. They met at the Intergalactic Song Contest which Nicky Newman won.
After they were separated, Iris found him again at Radio Yesterday, working as a DJ. Iris forgot who he was. He used his knowledge of music to destroy the mixing desk and hinder the Naxian invasion. (AUDIO: The Sound of Fear)
