Rombus was major domo of the Caecilius household in 79. Lobus Caecilius asked Rombus to get some ants in honey and a dormouse for him. He later announced the arrival of the augur Lucius Petrus Dextrus. When a Pyrovile came out of the floor of the Caecilius household, Rombus was incinerated by its fire breath.
