Miranda Pelham was a writer.
When Pelham was fifteen, she first learned about Valdemar on Proxima 2. It was the inspiration for a series of novels she wrote later.
Paul Neville brought her to Ashkellia, where Valdemar was supposedly entombed, to help in his plan to access the higher dimensions. Valdemar convinced her to stay in his dimension and to learn from it. (PROSE: Tomb of Valdemar)
