Henry Lincoln and Mervyn Haisman wrote the Doctor Who stories The Abominable Snowmen, The Web of Fear and The Dominators. They stopped writing for Doctor Who after a disagreement with the BBC over who owned the comic-strip rights to characters and races they created.

With Haisman, Lincoln created the character of Brigadier (then Colonel) Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart.
