Vogans exchange fire across a cave. (TV: Revenge of the Cybermen)

The Vogan Civil War was a short-lived conflict that pitted the Vogan people against each other. It broke out after Chief Councillor Tyrum tried to have Vorus deposed as leader of the Guardians. The Guardians loyal to Vorus took refuge deep in the gold mines, while those under Tyrum attempted to flush them out.

Vorus's human agent, Kellman, was brought before Tyrum and told him that the Cybermen were invading. With this in mind, Tyrum convinced Vorus they had to work together to quell the attack. To kill the Cybermen aboard Nerva Beacon, Vorus wanted to launch the rocket Skystriker at it. However, Tyrum delayed the launch to give the Fourth Doctor time to get Sarah Jane Smith off the beacon, much to Vorus's annoyance.

When Vorus saw that Nerva was on a collision course with Voga, he tried to launch Skystriker, but Tyrum shot him and his ally Magrik, unquestionably ending the short conflict. (TV: Revenge of the Cybermen [+]Loading...["Revenge of the Cybermen (TV story)"])
