Quick Reads is a sub-series of the BBC Books line of original Doctor Who novels, published at the rate of one per year.
The Quick Reads books were launched in 2006 as an effort by BBC Books, in conjunction with other partners, to promote reading. Although the cover design is the same as that of the full-length Doctor Who novels that have been published since 2005, the Quick Reads differ in that they are exclusively published in paperback at a lower cover price than the hardcovers, and they have a much lower page count, which puts them into the category of novellas.
All of the Quick Reads releases to date have fallen under the BBC New Series Adventures line it has yet to be announced whether the series will continue if/when the Eleventh Doctor novels are published.
