Madeline Burton was the girlfriend of Ed Hill.
Maddie became good friends with Fitz Kreiner during her stay with Ed in China. The Eighth Doctor successfully convinced her to attempt to stop her ambitious boyfriend from abusing Om-Tsor, but Ed, having become addicted to the power rush the drug offered him, read Maddie's mind, and upon realising she had been turned against him, brainwashed her into a devoted servant.
