Oliver Mortlake was a professor. He thought that the Fourth Doctor and Leela were part of the Caversham Society. He invited them into the castle. He was an expert on Mannering Caversham. He and Leela saw a shadow creature. He wanted to release the demon that Caversham had trapped. (AUDIO: The Darkness of Glass)
