The Silex were a cyborg race built as an army in war. They attacked drill towns. They had a connected consciousness by an ethics drive. They converted people into Silex. With the Fourth Doctor's help, Maxwell Wilberforce Bell destroyed them. (AUDIO: Subterranea)
